Born in Armenia, OninO has always been a good painter, but she was in doubt about adopting art as a career preference. However, after her time in a dedicated art school, OninO set eyes on the artworks of the Russian maestro, Toros. This induced a massive change in the woman who was so influenced by the creative method of Toros (Torosyan Vagarshak) that she began studying art earnestly. One cannot but ignore the significant and great effect of Toros in determining the career of OninO as an independent painter who reveals immense artistic caliber of her own.

It would be highly unjust to name the effects of Toros on her works as plain imitation it was intended as an imbibing of parallel procedures, brush strokes and changing of one's imagination that should be carried forefront. OninO, who was specifically enthralled by the interesting and odd faces of Toros, spent two years studying art under him in U.S.A. At this time, though, the mentor was successful in making her comprehend her own system and increase her creativity through the substantial variety of her oil.

Whatever contrast made between a master and an apprentice cannot be labeled as an imitation of art on any side. It is indeed a comprehension of the creative potential of each artist in attempting to stress the artistic elegance of each while remarking the outside influences of the complete outcome.

As is projected, the influence of Torosijn Vagarshak is pretty obvious in some of the earlier art pieces of OninO. Though even in the later years she maintains a number of it, it's more during the latter half of her creative tenure when we can spot the individuality of OninO as a painter. During the early phase, one notices likeness especially in the interpretation of the characters, this includes the similar slender faces, with curious expressions. A thorough look on the other hand, reveals that Torosijn Vagarshak's characters are either at times more pragmatic and at others, completely unusual, while those of OninO's are somewhere in the middle. Also interestingly one assumes the sensation that her characters are bigger than in reality and more lavish and loud in their mannerisms.

One cannot help but discount in both the works of Torosijn Vagarshak's and OninO, the emphasis on the different styles of hats that the characters wear. While the faces of Toros are without hats (though the characters do put on a hat in the other works), every painting of OninO has the characters donning some or the other type of colorful hat. In reality, all of OninO's hats are interesting and they gain as much interest as the characters themselves.

Both Vagarshak Torosjin and OninO however, maintain their influence of Cubism; OninO more frequently than her teacher. Her flirtation with shapes is so subtly shown and so thin that one may miss it if not viewed with a keen eye. The fusion of natural factors and feelings into each of the paintings is one main point of both Toros and OninO. But while Vagarshak Torosjin strictly maintains barely any touch of feminist tendencies in his pieces, OninO's creations are replete with them.

OninO's preference for romance, match making, festivities and display of wealthy living make her artworks have a distinctly dissimilar feel from that of Torosijn Vagarshak, who can be more related with the two extremes of make believe as well as realism. Similar to some other areas, both artists are somewhat uneven in their selection of subject matters.

The brave brush strokes of Vagarshak Torosjin versus the more subtle ones of OniO's and alike color palette are on the other hand, private choices that come forward while observing the two artists.

In the depiction of emotions within the imagery of their canvas, whether funny or sad, affection or enthusiasm, anger or dissatisfaction, the two artists display abundant verification of mastery. It's in this resemblance yet individual presentation of creative talent and impressions that both the artists make their own niche and OninO makes her declaration as an artist of huge caliber rather vividly felt.
